Tell A Friend Pro is hands done one of the easiest ways for your users to share your website with their friends and family, they simply enter in their name and email address, and the name and email addresse(s) of their friends and hit send, it's that simple. As the site owner you will have access from the backend of Joomla to configure the message that their friends receive, the system also includes tokens so you can auto fill in the friend's name and or email, the date the user that is submitting the form's information. The form’s HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript have been recoded from the ground up. We added a new blind carbon copy feature, this is a feature that many of you have been asking for so we got it added to this release.

Form Field Validation
The user’s name and email address fields have field validation settings built in, to help remind users that their name and email address is required, and will not allow the form to be submitted until data is entered in to the fields.
Personal Message Field
We added a new personal message field that can be enabled/disabled that will allow your users to add a personal message on to the default message. The personal message field uses a token so it can be placed anywhere in or after the default message.
reCAPTCHA Settings
There are fields for both of the public, and private keys, and a dropdown menu to select the theme you want to use with the reCAPTCHA validation form.
MVC Development
Our extension follows the Joomla MVC framework so it will be easy to do any template overrides that you may need to do to fit your needs.
Blind Carbon Copy
This feature allows you to set an email address to receive a blind carbon copy of the message that your users submit from your website, that contains the name and email address of the user submitting the message and their friend’s names and email addresses.
Multi Language Support
Our extension follows the Joomla language framework so if you need to use multiple languages it’s simple with our extension.
After you have installed the extension you will want to create a new menu item.

We fixed a bug that was causing the from email address to only show for the first email sent, all of the other emails seen <> as the from email, this as been correct this the latest version.

We fixed a jQuery bug that was keeping the add another friend button from working, we thought we got this working in the last version (1.0.7) we also got a bug that was not clearing the form fields after submission fixed in this version as well.

We added a new personal message field that can be enabled/disabled that will allow your users to add a personal message on to the default message, the personal message field uses a token so it can be placed anywhere in or after the default message. We added in Joomla 3.0 support and replaced several of the CSS classes to use the new bootstrap classes, so it looks really nice bootstrapped. We fixed an issue when the user would enter in the wrong reCAPTCHA code the page would reload and the form would not retain any of their entered information, and would have to re-enter all of their friends information again, very annoying.
v1.0.5: on 08/06/2012 the latest version (1.0.5) of our Tell A Friend Pro component for Joomla 2.5.x was released. We fixed a bug that was braking the styling of the reCAPTCHA form working.
v1.0.4: on 07/09/2012 the latest version (1.0.4) of our Tell A Friend Pro component for Joomla 2.5.x was released. We replased the textarea field with the site's default text editor to make it easier when adding the custom message HTML.

We added a new blind carbon copy feature that will allow the site owner to get an email message with the names and email addresses submitted each time a user uses the tell a friend form. This is a feature that many of you have been asking for so we got it added to this release.
v1.0.2: on 05/26/2012 the latest version (1.0.2) of our Tell A Friend Pro component for Joomla 2.5.x was released. We patched a problem with the last version only sending out the first email, any other friends would not receive the email message, this bug has been patched, please download and install the latest version to correct this issue.
v1.0.1: on 11/22/2011 the latest version (1.0.1) of our Tell A Friend Pro component for Joomla 1.6.x/1.7.x was released. We fixed a bug that was causing the HTML in the message field to get dropped when saving the extensions settings. Please make sure to download the latest version to correct this problem.
